Complete Your Plan to Live Healthier in 2018 – Make it REAL!
Your level of accountability will have a direct correlation to the level of success you achieve. It is a simple fact that eludes millions every year at this time of year. If you have nothing at stake nothing will change. As much as you hope to lose weight or get fitter, it will never happen without a compelling reason for you to do it. Being healthy and fit takes work, commitment and the effort will wear down your will to stay the course. Give yourself a really good reason to stay with it, the benefits are tremendous for your quality of life. Creating accountability starts with sharing your goal with a friend, write it down, joining a group exercise class, maybe signing up for a 10k run or some other event to help give you a reason to exercise when you don’t feel like it. There are so many ways to create accountability so make it part of your plan for better health in 2018. Without some accountability you are doomed to another year with a failed New Year’s resolution. Create accountability by tracking your progress, setting realistic but challenging goals and share your journey with others. Make it happen

The first step in creating your wellness plan for 2018 is assessment. You need to know what your current fitness level is to determine your health status. Biometric testing and lifestyle surveys reveal your current health and is the basis for your goal setting and accountability. Completing a fitness test at this time of year is a great way to create a benchmark for you to gauge your improvement and should include: flexibility, muscle strength, endurance, body composition or (BMI), cardiovascular fitness.
