As many who have followed my blog since 2007 know I have been dedicated to the daily ritual of personal growth by writing my blog. I have written it almost every business day for the last 9 years. I have missed a few days when traveling for my service commitments at Camp Blue Skies or on mission trips to Mississippi, so you know it has to be something big for me to miss writing by blog. This week I did not write my blog for 3 days straight for the first time in years, so you know I am up to something big. I have been talking about a special project I have been working on, it’s called Kinetic Heights. In partnership with 4 others we have created this Adventure Learning Center dedicated to building healthy families, individuals, and organizations in our community. It all started when close friend Steve Gruendel approached me 2 years ago with an idea that he had. He knew I had been working with the Camp Blue Skies Foundation and wanted to know what I thought about it. The journey began with this conversation. ”What if we could build a place where families could join together to be healthy and grow in an environment of intentional growth?” We are now just a few weeks away from making real a dream I have had for many years. From the first leadership class I took back in 2006 at the Legacy Center, I knew I wanted to teach people to find their voice, to be responsible for doing good and lifting up those around us. I prepared myself for something just like Kinetic Heights, I studied, read, wrote about this issue, and have remained committed to my dream. Everything I have done in my life so far has lead me to this point right here, right now. On November 5, 2016 we will open this facility and the adventure will begin, we will offer team building, fitness, outings, and events that serve our community. Our outreach commitment will be huge and we have already created relationships with many organizations who are active in a positive way in Charlotte. I invite you to check out who we are and what we are up to at www.kineticheights.com, see our facility on our Facebook or Instagram social media websites, or read about us in Charlotte Agenda magazine. I am so proud to be able to bring this offering to Charlotte. I started Live Well Charlotte in 2007 with the intention of being a health promotion professional, this is my next adventure into being and sharing healthy, challenging, service oriented products and services to the people of my community. We all share in the outcome of our society, what will you bring to the table to make your community better each and every day? We hope to build an offering that is a viable business able to add value to our community, and be a force for good for many years to come. Come into our space and experience the environment committed to you finding your best self so you can then turn around and help others. I will launch a new blog with the opening of Kinetic Heights in November. Stay tuned…
